DUDE???? I am in shock. Have you ever read a book with a twist so shocking it shook you to your core? Yes, I know it’s a fictional novel. Yes, I know the characters aren’t real. Still…DUDE!!! If I were at home, I’d be weeping right now.

My newest Brit thriller is Jill Ellis’s Jackman and Evans. It’s an absolutely amazing series. The characters are deep, real, and varied. Each one has a personal life in addition to their professional lives as detectives. You get to know each one, and you can’t help but become very attached to them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to stop listening, afraid of what might happen. Well, this one came out of the blue, and it’s devastating. Jill, if you ever come across this blog (highly unlikely), I want you to know I’m furious with you, right now! SIGH…now I have to listen on and see how my people deal with this tragedy and how I’m going to deal with it, too!

Oh, if you like audiobooks, the performer on this one is stellar. Richard Armitage is a well-known actor and has starred in a number of British shows and films. He does a great job with the different British accents.
